First Song
I used to write the music,
For all the stars to sing;
People would listen to the music,
But the words didn't mean a thing.
Then one day, I sat down,
And wrote a song that made them cry;
I wrote of how I loved you,
And you left with no goodbye.
I told them how I sat and cried,
Each night and every day;
And how lonely I have been,
Since you have went away.
That was the first song ever,
That the people could understand;
As they listened to my words,
Tears fell throughout the land.
I only wrote of how I felt,
Never meaning to make them cry;
But words have a way of breaking hearts,
Especially when they are goodbyes.



I hope you enjoy your journey through my mind. Hopefully my words have touched a part of you so that you may touch someone elses life in the future. Remember, we all need someone, sometime.

Friend In The Shadows

Her mind changes direction,
Like gust of springtime wind;
As she searches great distances,
Waiting for a friend.
The nights go on unnoticed,
As do the courses of the day;
Her mind becomes so jumbled,
And she forgets her way.

He stands off in the shadows,
He watches her pass by;
He longs so to hold her,
Dry her tears should she cry.
Yet he remains in silence,
And still she searches on;
For the friend there in the shadows,
Who waits and loves alone.

When her journey leads her to him,
He takes her by the hand;
Their souls entwine together,
Like waves upon the sand.
